Felicia began her professional career as a fine artist and instructor of painting in 2009 in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has exhibited in shows internationally including at The BP Portrait Award; attended residencies at both the de Young Museum in San Francisco and Red Bull House of Art in Detroit; and been featured in numerous podcasts and publications. After a decade as a highly sought after painting teacher collaborating with museums, schools and workshops all over the globe, Felicia launched Creative Coaching to fill a gap she saw in the healthy development of artists and their practices. Felicia maintains a studio in San Francisco, CA, and offers coaching both one on one and through her online membership.

Time Traveler, (Matthew Napping), oil on linen, 72"x72" has been awarded second prize in the BP Portrait Award 2018.

The BP Portrait Award 2018 exhibition was on display at the National Portrait Gallery in London from 14 June 2018 to 23 September 2018. The exhibition then went on to then Wolverhampton Art Gallery from 13 October 2018 to 2 December 2018 before being moved to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh from December 2018 to March 2019. The exhibition ended at Cartwright Hall in Bradford, where the work was on display from March 2019 to June 2019.

This is a riot of color with a brilliant use of paint. While there is no modeling or shading- it’s just blocks of color- the painting still exudes so much atmosphere. It’s a very bold portrait, but also distinctly personal and intimate.
